THE CITIZENS FOUNDATION FOR BETTER GOVERNMENT is a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation established to provide financial and logistical support to our government advocacy arm, Americans for Congressional Term limits NOW! (ACT NOW!) so we may achieve our goal of reforming the United States Congress.
Our upstart grass roots organization, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, was founded by an ordinary American citizen who determined that corrupt career politicians in Congress, and their mismanagement of government, are primarily responsible for our country's current economic crises and general malaise.
Our mission is to remove political careerists from Congress forever by overseeing the passage of a constitutional amendment that defines the number of consecutive terms and years that anyone elected to Congress may serve.
The goals behind our mission are the restoration of Congress as a citizen legislature, as intended by our nation's founders; eliminating the culture of corruption that has evolved in Congress; restoring accountability in our federal government to citizen control; and better government for all Americans.
We believe in our Constitution and our founding principles, that the United States of America is the world's greatest champion for freedom and liberty, and is the single greatest secular force for good on earth.
We are all appalled by the deplorable condition of our nation and economy, and simply wish to see our cherished country returned to the path of peace, progress and prosperity for all. You can help us make this happen!
